Forwarding an Exhibition Display from Toronto to Moscow

During September and October 2015 TELS Company carried out a project which involved the delivery of an exhibition display from Toronto, Canada, to Moscow, Russia, and its subsequent redelivery.

Goal

10 days before the opening of the exhibition the Airfreight Department within TELS group of companies was set a goal to deliver the exhibition display from Canada to Russia.

Conditions:

  • Delivery of the exhibits under the ATA carnet with various accompanying pre-starting procedures carried out as obtaining the required permits and guarantees from Chambers of Commerce and Industry, exhibit companies, etc.

  • Precise documentation and accurate description of cargo contents on delivery for unquestionable identification of the display on redelivery (the exhibition display includes around 50 objects, which are difficult to describe accurately).

Thus, in a critically short period the company had to a) receive all the required permits; b) prepare ATA carnet for the non-standard complex cargo; c) make up traffic documents and transport the cargo; d) execute customs clearance in Moscow.

As a result, the cargo was delivered to Moscow 2 days before the opening of the exhibition (in time for its installation). The display brought happiness to the visitors of the exhibition during 4 weeks. Finally, the display was successfully redelivered on October 28.
