According to preliminary estimates of Marketing agency RBK.research for all means of transport, in 2015 as compared to 2014 cargo transportation will decrease to 87.2% and freight turnover – to 97%, reports rzd-partner.ru.
Thus, the comparative percentage of commercial cargo transportation and freight turnover for 2015 and 2014 will make the following figures respectively:
- For railway carriages – 96% and 98%.
- For automobile carriages – 80% and 90%.
- For carriages by sea – 94% and 80%.
However, air carriages are estimated to increase up to 106%, while freight turnover will rise to 110%.
Figures for sea freight turnover will stay unchanged as compared to the estimated rise in cargo transportation to 103%.
At the same time, freight turnover decrease is slower than the decrease of cargo transportation due to the growing role of the Far East and the increase of the average transportation range. In general, the decrease in Russian logistics market may reach 9% at the end of the year.
The decrease in import cargoes is estimated to reach 20%, while export cargoes are expected to rise by 4% as a result of price decline for basic (raw) materials and the devaluation of ruble.
