Russian road transportation market revealed a number of positive tendencies in the first half of the year 2016.
For instance, international transportation from the European Union to Russia was characterized by the decrease of negative dynamics. From January till May in 2016, the volume of road transportation (expressed in physical terms) from the EU to the Russian Federation reduced by 6.4 % against the same period in the previous year; at the same time, the dynamics for the period January-March made -10 %.
Another good sign was sales growth of Russian trucks with gross vehicle weight over 14 tons by 24 % against the same period in the previous year (as stated by KAMAZ OJSC press service).
Moreover, according to the data from Sea Ports Association, 15.2 million tons of cargoes were dispatched from Russian sea ports for transportation by road, which is 9.5 % more than in the same period in 2015.
